Vitamins
Vitamins are vital for the human body. They are essential for important metabolic processes; they regulate the protein, carbohydrate and mineral absorption, participate in energy generation and help maintain a stable immune system. Unfortunately, the human body cannot synthesize vitamins on his own. Therefore they need to be ingested with food. Vitamins are classified into two groups: the fat-soluble and the water-soluble vitamins. Fat-soluble vitamins are mainly stored in the liver, whereas water-soluble vitamins need to be obtained through diet.
Fat-soluble: Vitamins E, D, K, A
Water-soluble: Vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, C, Niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, folic acid
